# Native component verification

Verified locally on 2026-09-30 with TeX Live 2026 / pdfLaTeX.

## Scope

23 additive native node styles: 4 mechanics, 5 fluid, 6 projected-solid,
3 track, and 5 wave/acoustic components. Existing path/pic interfaces remain.
The new waves library is loaded by the package and by the single-file runtime.
Physical drawings default to black outlines with no fill.

## Numerical and interface evidence

- `l3build check`: all 11 suites passed.
- `native-components.lvt`: 132 PASS records for independent coordinates,
  transformations, saved state, connections, mode indices, debug rendering,
  and complete integer families across every new style.
- The reference suite instantiates all registered nodes, evaluates every
  family at 0/50/100, renders their cards, and checks overlay invocation.
- `python3 scripts/verify_components.py`: 15 malformed geometries or invalid
  indices failed with the intended package diagnostic.
- Independent loading of mechanics, fluids, elements, ramps, and waves each
  compiled all its new styles without relying on the meta-library.
- The reference generator verifies 98 feature references; the bundle
  generator confirms the single-file runtime matches the source.

## Visual evidence

- Five-page `docs/native-components.pdf`: every new default shape inspected.
- Two-page `docs/native-component-scenes.pdf`: connections, rotations,
  layered liquids, signed capillary sag, rough tracks, contact normals,
  displacement nodes and antinodes, and longitudinal compression inspected.
- Corrected solid bounding anchors and label placement during review.
- Both galleries compiled in an isolated directory containing only the
  generated runtime and example sources. Recorder paths identify the local
  `tikzphysics.sty`; no split tikzphysics library was loaded.
- All five gallery pages rasterize identically at 72 dpi using split and
  single-file runtimes.
- The updated four-page Overleaf starter compiled and its new page was
  inspected. The full 79-page manual was rebuilt; new pages 41-43 were
  visually inspected and the final build reported no overfull lines.

## Artifacts and publication boundary

The current upload ZIP contains the runtime, starter, optics and component
examples, and both guides. Every ZIP entry was compared to the current file.
These are unreleased local changes; no CTAN submission, system installation,
or remote Overleaf project mutation was performed.
